JOANN DIXON, CMTMassage Therapist, Jin Shin Jyutsu®I
have had an active bodywork practice since 1981. I am available for
sessions at your home, vacation getaway, or the Healing Arts &
Massage Center.
Each session is tailored to meet your needs. I offer the following modalities: -- Swedish Massage: For relaxation and rejuvenation using gentle to firm pressure as desired. -- Deep Tissue Massage: Targets deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. -- Hot Stone Massage: Heated stones are added to your Swedish or deep-tissue massage to further promote muscle and tissue relaxation. The penetrating heat aids in circulation and detoxification and helps relieve joint pain and stiffness. -- Jin Shin Jyutsu®: Experience a healing session of this energy work, or ask for it to be integrated into your massage. I became interested in bodywork in the mid 1970s when I had the opportunity to assist an herbalist/massage therapist in Salt Lake City. After moving to the coast in 1978, I was introduced to and received Jin Shin Jyutsu®, which improved my health and changed my life in many ways. In 1980, I began the study and practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu® with Mary Burmeister, who introduced this art from Japan to the rest of the world, to share its benefits with others. Jin Shin Jyutsu® gives a deep understanding of the body. This body wisdom is the foundation of my massage practice. I have taken numerous Jin Shin Jyutsu® classes over the years, including advanced training. I received my massage certification from Pacific School of Massage & Healing Arts and hot stone massage certification from Mendocino School of Massage |
